Abhijeet Bhattacharya, who often shares his controversial thoughts, has yet again caught attention when he talked about his displeasure in working with legendary music composer AR Rahman. In a recent interview, Bhattacharya talked about Rahman's odd work hours and how he makes people wait for hours. He expressed his frustration over Rahman's work style and his tendency to be late during recording sessions. Abhijeet Bhattacharya has a not-so-good time working with AR Rahman Abhijeet, who has worked with Rahman on the song “Ae Nazneen Suno Na”, stated, “During that time, I was getting calls from all the major composers. Anu Malik would be on the line, and then Anand-Milind would call, and then Jatin-Lalit would call. I was busy dubbing all the time. I went (to meet Rahman) and was left waiting at the hotel.” He continued, “I decided that I can’t keep waiting and that we could record in the morning. At 2 am, I get a call summoning me to the studio. Am I crazy? I said that I was asleep. I went in the morning, but he was not there. They don’t have the habit of working at regular hours. I’m used to working in a systematic manner. Now, in the name of creativity, if you say that you will record at 3:33 am, I don’t get it.” He further stated, “Because of the air-conditioning in my room, I had a cold. But he insisted that I sing. I’ve done a lot of hit songs for super-flop movies, and this was one of them. Nobody watched the film. The song belongs to Rahman.” He added, “I kept asking for Rahman but didn’t get a firm answer. An artiste doesn’t become big or small by doing these things… I was told that I should have waited for him and left later. But I told them that I had prior commitments.” Abhijeet Bhattacharya’s credit controversy with the Dua Lipa concert Abhijeet often finds himself amidst controversies, and recently he was furious about the credit issue during the recent Dua Lipa concert when the IDGAF singer sang a mashup of “Levitating x Woh Ladki Jo”. Fans in the crowd could not contain their happiness during this moment, but Bhattacharya feels that the song is being associated with Shah Rukh Khan only, as if he voiced the song. The singer feels that his due credit has been snatched from him and only the actor is being given the credit. Bhattacharya’s son, Jay, also spoke about this issue as he took to Instagram stories to express his rage and frustration.

Anushka Sharma reaction after Virat Kohli got out in the same way. 😭😭#INDvsAUS pic.twitter.com/WZFkEcuVb9 — Akshat (@AkshatOM10) January 3, 2025 About Virat Kohli's Test performance Veteran Indian batter Virat Kohli found himself undone by deliveries outside the off-stump once again in the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy series between India and Australia at the Sydney Cricket Ground. Kohli's vulnerability to such balls has been a recurring theme in recent times. His dismissal came in the 32nd over, with Australian pacer Scott Boland delivering a back-of-a-length ball outside the off-stump. He was dismissed for 17 runs off 69 balls, a knock that was devoid of any boundaries, highlighting his struggle to break free from the shackles imposed by the Australian bowlers. Kohli's recent dismissals to similar deliveries have raised questions about his technical adjustments and mental approach. Despite being one of the finest batsmen of his generation, his inability to consistently counter balls outside the off-stump has put a dent in his confidence. Except for an unbeaten 100 in the first Test at Perth, the Aussies have managed to keep Virat quiet as he has managed just 26 runs in his other four innings, including three single-digit scores. The decade of 2020s has not been kind to Virat the Test batter. In 37 Tests and 64 innings, he has managed just 1,964 runs at an average of 31.67, with just three centuries and nine fifties and best score of 186.

03 January,2025 08:12 AM IST | Mumbai | ANIActor Junaid Khan, the son of Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan, who made his debut with the streaming film ‘Maharaj’, is set to perform a theatre play on Friday coinciding with the song release from his upcoming movie ‘Loveyapa’. After the announcement of the release date of ‘Loveyapa’, Junaid is performing for the first time at Prithvi Theatre. ‘Loveyapa’ also stars Khushi Kapoor. This marks Junaid’s second film after ‘Maharaj’ which was based on journalist and social reformer Karsandas Mulji, who himself was a Hindu. Having studied at the Elphinstone College in Mumbai, Karsandas Mulji, played by Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan’s son - Junaid in the film, was a protege of the scholar-leader Dadabhai Naoroji. He was a member of the Gujarati Gnanprasarak Mandalli (Gujarati Society for the Spread of Knowledge), and was a friend of prominent Gujarati reformists such as poet Narmad and educationist Mahipatram Neelkanth. He founded the Gujarati language weekly, ‘Satyaprakash’ in 1855 in order to leverage mass communication for social reform. Six years later, the newspaper was merged with his guru’s Anglo-Gujarati newspaper Rast Goftar published from then Bombay, which at that point included parts of Gujarat as Bombay presidency. Mulji wrote on widow remarriage, female education, excessive spending in pompous marriages, indecent songs sung during marriages, the funeral ritual of chest beating, and he stood up for the oppressed, calling for a social reform. Many of the evil practices in the society got abolished because of Mulji, who like his mentor believed in effective functioning of the society by weeding out its evils. He wrote many notable articles. The one that made huge noise at the time was the one titled ‘Gulamikhat’. In the article, he criticised the sign campaign and the process of law-making by Vaishnavas which allowed the Maharaj (religious heads) to not have to visit the court owing to their religious status. However, it was the article titled ‘Hinduo No Asli Dharam Ane Atyar Na Pakhandi Mato’ (The Primitive Religion of the Hindus and the Present Heterodox Opinions) published by him on September 21, 1890 in ‘Satyaprakash’. The article criticised Vaishnava Archaryas (Hindu religious leaders) for their behaviour. The article resulted in the Maharaj Libel Case in 1862 on which the Netflix film is based. Meanwhile, on the work front, Junaid Khan also has an upcoming film with Sai Pallavi. This story has been sourced from a third party syndicated feed, agencies.
